How to calculate cubic meterage (or CBM):
length x width x height x quantity
e.g. 400 cartons at 41cm x 34cm x 30cm:
0.41 x 0.34 x 0.3 x 400 = 16.728 cbm
Pallets:
There are 2 main types of wooden pallets used
in Europe for general purposes
EUR & EUR1 (or a Euro) = 80cm x 120cm
EUR2 (or standard) = 120cm x 100cm
How many pallets fit in (based on 1 tier):
Vehicles:
7.5 tonne box: 10-12 standard or 14-15 Euros
(5.9m to 6.2m long x 2.4m high)
18 tonne box: 14 standard or 18 Euros
(max. pallet height = 2.4m to 2.65m)
40' articulated trailer: 26 standard or 33 Euros
(max. pallet height = 2.65m)
Sea Freight GP containers:
20' container: 10 standard or 11 Euros
40' container: 21 standard or 24 Euros
45' container: 24 standard or 26 Euros
